I have a 2009 G37 X sedan.
Yesterday when I tried to start the car It would not start. It makes a clicking sound, but engine would no start. I was able to jump start it, after that i turned the engine off and on a couple of times it started fine. I did not drive the car around. And after leaving the car off for about 45 minutes It would not start again. After 4 to 5 hrs I started the car using jump start, drive the car around for about 4-5 miles. After 4-5hrs again car wont start.

I found this TSB # ITB10-010b. It says it only applies to Coupe. But I have a sedan, does it apply to sedan also?

Did anyone with a sedan experience this problem? Did you get the dealership to replace battery under this TSB?

Basic warranty on my car expired in May' 2013.I got extended warranty not sure if this extended warranty covers this battery problem.

Try resetting the ECU and see if it helps. It could either be a weak battery or an electric leak somewhere.

I found this TSB # ITB10-010c. I think this one applies to Sedan.
Does anyone have the link to the PDF of this TSB?

Hod do I reset the ECU? Is it something I could do DIY?

Lets not overcomplicate this... Go to your local auto parts store and have them test the battery. If its faulty replace it there. They will change it for you. If not, head to the dealership for ECU repairs.

Try this, jump start your battery.. drive around for like 30 mins to charge the battery. Park the car and disconnect the negative terminal and leave it overnight. Hook up the negative terminal next morning and see if the car starts. If it does, take it to the dealer. If it doesn't, get a new battery.

I experienced the same exact issue about two months ago. The car had a clicking noise and wouldn't start. Before Infiniti replaced the battery, they checked the charging system of the car to make sure it wasn't faulty. Nothing more than a dead battery and a headache.

If I need to change the battery, what make and model would you guys suggest? How much does it cost?
But, a dead battery just after 34K miles???

My battery died on at about 18K miles. I was getting suggestions to check the battery fill level in each cell. Infiniti replaced my battery with one of theirs (not sure what brand and specs).

I've been hearing good things about Optimum Red Top or Yellow Top batteries. Do some research to see what fits your needs. Prices vary.

umm... sounds like a typical dead battery lol
go to walmart, read the book and find your battery size.

I have the PDF for ITB10-010B, but that one is only for Coupe. I think ITB10-010C applies to sedans, not sure though. I want to take a print out of the TSB when I go to the dealer so that I dont get a run around.

If the battery is dead, I dont mind getting a new one. Just want to make sure other parts mentioned in the TSB are fine.

It's a dead battery. At 4 going on 5 years old, it's time to replace the battery. I highly doubt there is any other issue with the car.

I would agree with the above....

Although different climates put different demands on an auto battery... I have not had one make it to 4 years old since I have been in DFW area of TX. And I do check it about every 6 months...
