Basically it is what is, he got hit in back launched into car infront of him.
He's only got 6 months left on his lease.
It's a 2012 g37x sedan.
I feel bad he's student it was his first real decent car.
From what I see it looks done, what do you think.
If its not totaled its borderline, he's trying brace for the worse.

Definitely totalled . Unless you have some extra insurance I don't think you can get anything out of the car because it is a lease. At least thats how it is in Canada. The insurance guy told me that if my Lease gets totalled my term just ends.

Sucks to see that, mine was just the side doors/pillar rocker panel and it was 8 grand to fix. That looks like real frame & motor damage let alone all the body damage
I think that's where "gap" insurance comes into play and why it's a good idea to have it, I think it plays a bigger role if you were newly into the lease though.

Totalled for sure. My 09X had much less damage, mostly back end and some small front bumper damage and repair estimate came to about 21K, so they totaled it.
Hope your buddy is OK, he should really see a doctor and an attorney so that he does not get screwed somehow. Let us know how it goes...

Let's see....the front end damage alone is probably enough to total it. Add the damage (that we can't see) to the back end....it's toast. Infiniti leases aren't too bad when they get totaled, but a mileage overcharge will likely apply if the mileage is over the pro-rata calculation. I suspect if you lease another G, they might be generous with the overcharge...who knows. Hopefully no injuries....that's all that really matters.

Thank you all for the kind words, car took the hit like a champ.
The crappy part is the person behind him just clipped him enough, he couldn't stop.
Plus hitting large SUV, he got away without a scratch.
mom/dad made him go to hospital when it 1st happened. I think he'll be ok, thanks to the g.
Update to follow. Again appreciate the kind words, he's 23 I've been there 1st new car gets got.
