Sunroof Wind Noise- solved

I searched the forum and found nothing like this, so I am posting to let other people know my story...

I have a 2009 G37S Journey 7AT Sedan and over the last year or two I had noticed "wind noise" when at highway speeds. It wasn't bad, but just slightly annoying. At first I thought it was just one of the windows not closed all the way or seated. But that was not it. Then one day the sun was really bright and overhead and a closed the moonroof cover. BAM! Noise gone.... so it was coming from the sunroof all this time.

Perhaps it had been making the noise longer, I can't remember now. I don't even open the sunroof very often, and the car is in PERFECT condition, low miles (12K) and garage kept. I recently took it into the dealer and complained about the issue.

When I got the car back they told me it was not supposed to make that noise, and they REPLACED THE WHOLE GLASS SUNROOF PANEL. Not adjusted, not seals replaced, the whole panel replaced. That seemed very drastic, but they explained it is all integrated.

Sure enough, the noise is now completely gone. All parts and work covered under warranty (which is expiring in a month).

Parts used: LID ASSY-SUNROOF.SLI-91210-JK05A $565.19 $0 charge.
