Carbon Fiber Rear Valence Wrap

Had my rear valence wrapped in Carbon Fiber 3M 1080 Vinyl Film by Rob @ Sun Stoppers today...CF Rear Valence was purchased from Andy (Blueb@tmobile)
The CF rear valence was received in 2 pieces...Andy advises that customer's prefer it this way for easier installation.

Took Rob about 1.5hrs to do the install
Cost:$75

Thanks!
Unless you are eye-level, you can't even tell...picture pronounces it even more.

I like it better than not having it there.

Obviously, you're familiar with blnewt's CF wrap into the rear bumper of his recently wrinkled 2009. I think the cut-out differences between that model and the 2010+ refresh make the CF look better in the 2009. That's the only explanation I can think of, because you both have a black car. And you probably also know I've got that area wrapped as well, but in flat-black, not CF.

So... I like it, but don't love it. Whereas I love mine (like 90% love) and Newt's at 100%. I'd have to rate my level of appreciation for yours at 80%, and it's difficult to explain why.

How's that for ambiguous over-analysis? LOL

Anyway, good job, dragion.

No, I'm completely sure I could tell. Lines don't lie.

I actually like Brad's (blnewt) better also...I prefer the look of the pre-2010 rear bumper over ours. I don't care for the way it extends over the sides.
Planning to see how it looks after I put a coat of wax over it...maybe an improvement
I do agree that I like it better than without.

I think due to the contrast of your lighter color with the flat black, enhances the look!

These things are so subjective, and personal. That's why I just keep talking, to explore where opinions go and why.

Here's Brad's, for comparison:

And mine, even though this pic is over-exposed:

Looks good Dragion. The 09 doesn't have that pronounced angled lip from the top edge like the 2010+ models so IMO it would be a harder install and tougher to get everything lined up & cut out just right. Mine was simple and only took about 30 minutes, but it took about an hour to use cellophane to make my template and the cut out of the vinyl. They did a real nice job around your exhaust recesses too, isn't that contrast awesome

That looks great! I've got those same vinyl pieces on my desk waiting to go on my car. This gives me some much needed motivation.

I got mine from bluebat also, and honestly the edges suprised me. I was expecting some perfectly, computer, cut pieces. He obviously just traces out a template in pencil and cuts it out with scissors (you can plainly see the outline). The vinyl itself seems top notch.

The quality of the installation could effect this also. I have his taillight overlays and they are perfect.

What you might want to do is a dry fit, see which upper curved end fits the best, then trace any area that my need to be slightly trimmed so you get one side perfect, cut it out then flip that end over to the other side of the vinyl and trim it exactly as the "good" end, this will give you two perfect ends. If you have to trim a bit more and it makes the vinyl slightly inside where you want it to be (not long enough width-wise) you can always stretch it a bit to make it fit flush where you want it. You can also use clear plastic wrap and press it against the valance and trace exactly where you want it cut then transfer the cut line to the vinyl if you're not happy w/ the initial piece of vinyl. Dragions looks like everything but the upper corners were cut just right so that may be the specific area that need a slight trim.

Andy's tail light overlays are cut a bit different than the rear valance...different material.
Install application is different too.
