The prospeed exhaust is probably made in another country where the costs of these materials is a 1/3 of what you can expect to pay for in the U.S. They also went an even cheaper route after the small batch of "rolled tips" and then things went down hill with how people were pleased with the systems overall look. Didn't you sell your Tanabe because the sound was almost the same as stock, never heard anything about the "obnoxious tips". In my opinion they fit the car well, but I agree the sound needs much improvement.

Sorry, I'm trying to do my best to make something that will please the masses with a better look, better sound and finish. At this point it is looking like mighty slim chances.
Uh. I don't own any aftermarket exhaust so I'm not supporting TopSpeed because I own one. It's simple economics 101. You have someone who's willing to work for $10 / hour in the US while TopSpeed has someone who's willing to work for $2. Even if they were to produce the same product of the same quality, it's going to cost less, period.

Just because a product is manufactured in China doesn't mean it's always going to be bad quality. Just remember, it's the Americans who started Walmart, Costco and etc that have significant purchasing power over their suppliers. It is also the Americans who demand low prices from Walmart and Costco, and therefore these companies have to squeeze every dime from these Chinese manufacturers.

You think the Chinese send their astronauts into space with shuttles built with low quality parts? Chinese build cheap stuff because us, North Americans, and the rest of the world, demand cheap stuff and accept low quality. A supply of cheap low quality stuff would've never been there if there was no demand to begin with.

With that said, I'm happy to see that there's another option for us folks with a sedan. I wish you success in your product and hell I may even become your customer one day, but I think the assumption you made regarding all non-US made products being inferior is flawed. My father worked for Masters, Ben Hogan, Dunlop, Wilson and etc to produce quality golf equipments in Taiwan and China. He's one **** guy when it comes to quality control. So I totally disagree with you on the matter of non US-made being inferior. It would be unwise for you to not consider this option.

Anyway, good luck. Your axle-back does sound good.

I already stated the topspeed exhausts can be sold for less because their cost to produce the systems are much less.

There are products made in other countries that are worse quality, period. I have seen a few exhausts come off ebay that people put on many different vehicles and they don't last because of the quality. So NO I didn't make any assumptions about ALL non us products being of lesser quality, only those that I have seen and heard personally. Facts are facts....

So why don't you have your product manufacturer outside of US and pass the saving onto your clients?

There are also products made in US that are worse quality, period. A Lexus over a Caddy any day.

Megan, HKS, ARK and Tanabe exhaust for the G are all sold on eBay. Facts are facts.

At the end of the day, it doesn't do you any good to argue with your potential customers, because their opinions often tell you what the market wants, and that's the key to success, isn't it?

Has anyone heard any updates about the release date of the new axle back exhaust? I too miss the way my 06' coupe sounded. I love my 07' sedan's sports package, all it's missing is the sound!

Very interested in hearing more about it!
