This is something I've been hesitating to do to my stock wheels. Yours lookslike it turned out pretty well. Do you have any additional photos from a side view without the masking paper?
i plasti'd my duck feet and honestly they held up an entire winter in boston so i think you go for it. (i also had a family friend mechanic help me soooo that helped)
Added paddle shifters which was 60 bucks on craigslist, also deleted all the chrome with black vinyl wrap n absolutely love it. I did the grill n fog light trims waited like 3 weeks n did chrome around the doors n trunk. So I paid 60 for all the wrap. Also did a q50 shift **** swap for 50 bucks n forgot to mention I wrap my interior which I think was 20 bucks being I had some spare pieces.
Here's a cool device for $29 I put in my 2012 G37xS coupe. It connects to the back of the power mirror and adds a powered usb port. It lets you connect a dash cam so you can have a clean look. No tools required.
Here is the link to it: SimpleUSBPort Mirror to Dashcam Power Adapter (10-pin Type A)
That's good too know, while it's not necessary a mod I figured out how to shut off the oil change n oil filter indicator from coming on from the dashboard, all in the settings. Something that annoyed the **** outta me for a while.
Such a dongle will definitely save on wiring or having to poke pins into the mirror harness. However, is the whole thing wrapped in electrical tape? If so, that's a problem. It gets hot inside the car, eventually the electrical tape adhesive will fail. For the price, the whole thing should be sealed in heatshrink tubing.

Yeah it comes wrapped in electrical tape. Probably made of $5 worth of supplies. Some people in the Amazon comments said they covered it in heatshrink. It is wrapped pretty well in the tape through.
Regardless how well it's taped, the heat will cause it to loosen over time - it can get upwards of 130-150F inside the car on a hot day. Some cable ties on either ends would help.

glad you guys mentioned this, I ordered on a week or two ago (still waiting on international shipping)..I saw the picture and as wondering the same thing but didn't think about it too much... pretty lame that its just electrical tape...heatshrink probably takes even less time than electrical tape...I'm gonna throw some on when mine shows up

I've had this for a about a week. I didn't put heatshrink on yet, but it has been around 90F in the July heat here in NY for the last week or so. So far the electrical tape has been holding up. Really the only thing that tape is holding on is the usb extension. The wires have their own individual wraps and the wire ends are pressed into the wire harness on each side. So if the tape came off, it would look messy, but shouldn't effect the function of the dongle.
^^Had that happen years ago when I wired in a relay to drive a brighter bulb (80/100w) in a motorcycle. Everything was wrapped neatly in electrical tape... Until one day I pulled the gas tank (relay and wiring stuffed under gas tank) to find it undone. Lesson learned.
Also, wouldn't hurt to include a short (10") usb A to usb mini or micro male cable.

I actually did buy a pair of short, right angle USB A to USB Micro chords with this. You can see it in the picture I posted of my car. This product from Amazon is pretty good. You can get a 2 pack of opposing right angles (so you have an option of how to run the cable) for $6.99: CERRXIAN 9Inch Mini USB Cable Combo Mini USB Right Angle & Left Angle Male to USB Type A 2.0 Right Angle Male Data Sync and Charge Cable (2-Pack) R
