I can't say this is a bad thing really. As to "reprogramming" well, any car will need "reprogramming" of infotainment, station, seat, smart key settings, etc., if the battery is disconnected.
My dealer charged me, iirc, $18 for this. The battery checked out fine. My dealer also gave me a complimentary wash and wax as well.

The issue reoccurred the next day, and it turned out the aftermarket battery that was in the car (I had owned my G37 for just a few months) had posts that were slightly too small, so the fully tightened cable connection was flaky. (I theorize the thermal expansion of the cable camps was greater than that of the posts in the warmer late spring weather.) Rather than trying to shim the posts, I just got a new battery right then and there at the the dealer. The total was iirc about $180 which was close enough to other local prices for me to just go ahead and do.

That is exactly what my dealer charged when I had a battery replaced on my previous 06 G35.
Not only do I get the free wash but they vacuum and dust my interior while i enjoy their bagels, coffee and chocolate chip cookies.

Battery Replacement

When I brought my G37x in, complaining of slow starts, they put the battery on a load tester. The result was a new battery and wash, no charge.
I wanted them to upgrade to the bigger battery, but they said no.
