Man... I know you love your car as much as I love mine.

That really sucks. I hope everything works out in your favor, brother.

Awww.... really? So sorry to see and hear this, B. And your car was just about perfect already.

It doesn't look like there was frame damage, and i hope it stays that way. The door should be fixed easily and since you have a black car it shouldn't be that hard to match. Then again, just make sure they blend the paint all around. I only say that because when i had my accident the shop only blended the bumper/hood to the quarter panel, but then didn't blend all the way to the doors, so in certain angles you can see where the panels are of different shades of gray.

Bummer Dude....At least you're OK.

As they say in Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "Tis Just a Flesh Wound!"

If it's a good body shop, you won't know the difference. Still sucks to see another mint G get tagged.

Thats not pretty at all man!! But its nice to see how you took all this positively and were more concerned about peoples safety than the car's damage so i really hope that everything is fixed asap!

Other than that the car was/is starting to look really nice with all those mods especially the wheels. Keep us posted over at g35driver too bro and post many pics when its all taken care of!

It's been almost 3 weeks, Newt. What's the status update on the repair?

Looks like it should be done in 2 weeks, about $7000 to fix. They had to remove & replace the side door pillar and the rocker panel, 2 new doors and repaint the hood.
Sorry for the late reply, kinda depressed to check this thread

The hood? Was that you asking because of the paint chips, or was it part of the damage?

You were already planning on long-term ownership of this car anyway, right? With this repair on record, that kind of locks those plans in, I'm thinking.

Either way, fresh paint and professional detail, with new sport swaybars as a cherry on top... from what I've read into your posts, I'm thinking you'll be pretty happy when you get the G back.

damn! Carefully inspect it 5 times when you get it back. Make sure it's perfect... 7,000 is a a lot of money's.

My wife's Acura TL was T-boned. Everything looked good but the drivers side door was replaced, and we constantly heard air leaking while driving... After the repairs. Damage was around 5,000 and had to make several trips back to the body shop. They ended up keeping it nearly a month.

Good luck!

The approach that the car took on it's way to the T-bone went over gravel and threw a few extra chips on the hood. And yep, looking like at least 3 years more w/ the G. Looking forward to the sways and new rotors/pads. Also got that brand new bumper put on prior to taking it in and refinishing my lip spoiler. Everything should be looking better than it did before, and this time I'm going to protect the paint w/ that new 3M paint defender kit. Wish me luck

No doubt I'll be going over that w/ a fine tooth comb and looking at the finish from every possible angle. The shop that's doing it is the best in town w/ all the latest frame equipment and always gets good feedback so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Really don't want this to be more of an ordeal than it already has been

Watch it buddy, you know I can remove all the "thanks" I've given you
BTW, there's about 15 body shops in town, probably because no one knows how to drive ('cept me )

Meh. You thank everybody, and everybody thanks you. You can't help it, Brad, it's your nature to be the nice guy.
