Warranty over in 3 weeks...

Bringing in my 37xS for a final inspection before the warranty runs out on April 21st.
Its a 2009 and only has 57K on it....any suggestions on what the dealership should inspect (and repair) before it runs out?

The car has been flawless so far, only complaint is a lazy 7at in traffic.

thanks for your ideas

Do they charge you for this check up? What do you tell the service writer?

Ask him to check motor trans & rear diff fluids.
If any are to low, ask them to replace.
Otherwise if you have had little troubles, you should be fine.
Many members have hit higher mileage.

You can tell them that when doing an oil change you noticed that coolant was seeping through the back of the head gasket on the driver side.

How I got to know about this issue was that my mechanic saw it on prior G37's. I have a 2009 and roughly 50k on it. He noticed it when I first went to him around the 30k mark. I tried to get it fixed early on, but the dealership was being weird about it even though they knew about it. The foreman even noted on one of my papers that coolant was seeping, but no fix needed.

It's nothing that will make or break your vehicle, but my mechanic says it's a "known" issue that should be resolved ... coolant seeping isn't normal

Of course it's your word against theirs, and you aren't around to see exactly what they do to your vehicle at the dealership. I finally got it resolved pestering the same service adviser about it.

I'd recommend going to a performance shop that works on Nissan's & Infiniti's and just pay to get your car on the lift and have them remove the under tray to see the head gasket.

Thanks for the advice...has this been a common problem with the members here?

Is there a way to ask for inspection for warranty purposes without presenting any problems?

How often should the brakes be bled?
Does it usually relate to time (every 3 years) or mileage?

There are threads in this forum on extended warranties. If of interest, you might want to shop them before your current warranty ends.

me personally I see how much a extended warranty costs. In my experience I've always had bad luck whenever warranty expires problems starts coming up....
