My bad

There's extensive discussion of the naming in the other thread. The car is the Q50 period. No H for hybrid. No T for turbo. Just Q50. That's it. That's what Infiniti said. It's really pretty simple.
"Simple"? Maybe it is but not to me though.

No. It's FWD, until it detects slip. Then the rear wheels kick in at 50/50. There are a few variations of the Merc 4MATIC. The one in the CLA45 AMG will be FWD and 50/50 split when needed.

And even a dual clutch auto wouldn't satiate the MT-only crowd.

Back OT... Really, the pre-order pricing isn't that bad for what you're getting.

Anxious to see how the Hybrid performs.

There is no way I'll be spending $55K-$65k on an Infiniti...too close to the price of a used GTR.

100k for a gtr? no way Im paying that, too close to the price of a used ferrari..?? Just saying I think the pricing will be a shock for some, but when you start doing side by side comparisons of comparable equipment to the outgoing G it is not much of a big difference. It's when you start loading up on all the new stuff. not sure what you expected, new added technology does not equate to the same pricing. I think this will sell well and will entertain a bigger market. With that said, Ive owned 7 Infiniti's in the last 3 years and I work for them, I won't be getting one until they add a 6mt, so I am not biased yestersay though I took in 7 pre orders with deposits, so yeah I think it will sell.

Do you know when the 6MT will be available?

Something tells me that Nissan hasnt figured out how to mate the hybrid battery setup to a manual transmission? LOL or am I way off base?

because the number denotes the price range in the lineup.

No info yet on the release date for the 6mt in a sedan, if they do decide to do so you most likely will not see it in the hybrid. It can be done as Honda showed (with terrible results albeit) but I don't see Infiniti going that route. All keep in mind too, the Q50 being released right now is not the "performance" car that will be coming soon. Stay tuned

So i noticed on the build your own site, if you get the Premium model, in order to have the tech package, you must get the leather and the deluxe touring, consequently you must get navigation. On the sport model, to have the tech package, you must get the deluxe touring package. I dont understand why Infiniti is doing this. All i want is Navigation and Technology, I dont need $3,100 extra of stuff thats in the deluxe touring . The premium is worse because it forces you to tack on another 1000 bucks for the leather .

No chance they're going to offer manual on the hybrid...

That car might indeed be a lot more interesting. I wonder if "soon" means months or years...

Are most of these orders for the hybrid model?

i dont like the options bundling that infiniti is doing. Is there a reason i have to get the deluxe touring package if i want the tech package?

The reason the options are tied together the way they are is because they are discounted for pre orders. once pre orders are done the packages will be more standalone but they will also be more expensive. Take navigation at 1400 for pre order. Nav now is 1850 so expect it to match that or exceed it.

I really hope the Q50 gets the same 2.0 turbo 4cylinder from the CLA, not the wheezy, wimpy 1.8T from the C250. 201hp/229ft-lbs will not be enough to move this behemoth.
