I don't care how they price it, no interest without a manual. I made the mistake of getting an auto this time and I've regretted it every since. BTW no issue with the 7AT except the fact that it's an AT.

It works ok, but not great, and it isn't much fun. Try a BMW DCT or Audi DSG.
I still prefer manual too, but frankly it's not as much fun on cars with a lot of low-end torque as it is on cars that you need to rev up. Manual is a lot of fun on my old Maxima, and it would be quite fun on the G37 if the clutch didn't suck so bad. On the S4/S5/335i, you basically need to shift to a high gear very quickly (even skipping gears as you upshift). These cars have so much low-end torque that you pretty much never need to downshift for sudden acceleration, and there's no occasion to rev match either. You might as well have an automatic, almost...

My Q50 sport RWD with nav, spare tire, and deluxe touring came in at $48,555! The only thing I really care about is the customizable steering in the deluxe touring package.
Bring on the residual/MF information.
Depending on the programs, I will definitely look at the CLA45 AMG for that price.

2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG: 355 HP, 0-60 In 4.5, And A $48,375 Price
I'm just not too fond of the interior. Sure it's got carbon fiber and stuff, but meh. Just my opinion though.
Interesting to see an AMG badged car at this price point though. It's pretty telling actually. In a good way. Competition is great for us consumers.

The Merc looks pretty neat. The one thing I read though, under normal day-to-day driving, it will be a FWD car? You do get a pretty sweet DCT though.

RWD M Hybrid is 4,136.
Doesn't appear to be an M37x Hybrid.
The RWD Q50H models appear to be a wee bit lighter.
Keep in mind that there's a lot more gadgetry in the Q vs the G37. Nitpicking, I know, but it all adds up. Will be interesting to see 3rd party testing of the Q50.

Isn't the M37 Hybrid 4,136 lbs and the Q50 Hybrid 3,913 lbs? That's a 223 lbs difference...
This weight isn't too bad for a hybrid, but my personal preference would be to get a lighter car with forced induction... A 335i is only 3,555 lbs.
