So Infinti has stepped down to BMW's level of charging for features that should be standard at this price point...Nice. This is what I hate about the direction near-luxury cars are heading. What's next, HIDs as an option?

Infiniti's value was its biggest advantage over its rivals. Even the A4 and TL offer standard leather. This is getting ridiculous.

Ehhhh. For the price of a Q50 AWD hybrid, I can almost pick up a CLA 45 AMG. I was hoping there would be more of a difference.

This is the sole reason I bought the G.

A base 335i is $44,045 (with leatherette) vs. a nicely equipped Q50 Premium with leather and Nav @ $42,805...

You don't HAVE TO get the base model... and can still come in at or just above the rest of the competitions base prices with a nicely optioned Q50.

^^ exactly, that is also why the base model of the Q50 is less than the base model of
G37. It is still completely competative when equipped with options. Also as a cla45, I would wait to see some more specs.

The $36450 doesn't include destination and handling.

Maybe we can just keep our gearboxes when we trade...should be a minor mod to retrofit the manual. Wonder if the folks across the pond get a manual?

2014 Infiniti Q50 Press Kit - Infiniti Online Newsroom

Infiniti Europe The Media Website

No manual mentioned but apparently they know how much the euro models weigh - 1641kg+ presumably this is without the boots (Boot capacity is 510...255 pairs)

Correction - there is a 6-speed listed with the 2.2L Diesel model

Went to Infiniti website to configure one. Fully loaded Q50 Hybrid sport with all available options is $52,500 + destination charge of $500. Skipping Navigation and Deluxe Technology packages, it would have been $46,100. For the preorder it seems you can only add both of them or neither, not one or the other. Navigation is $1400 and Deluxe Technology is $5000. As of now no option no price for or option to order the regular technology package which loses AroundView monitor, wood trim, rain sensing wipers, and memory seats.

I hope the memory seat with intelligent key is a stand alone option and not part of the $5,000 Deluxe Technology Package. Thats the only item I want from the Deluxe Tech Package and I wont pay 5 grand just for it.

And the CLA 45 AMGs going to start around 48k and the Audi S3 is going to start around 38k.... both have AWD standard.

My Q50 sport RWD with nav, spare tire, and deluxe touring came in at $48,555! The only thing I really care about is the customizable steering in the deluxe touring package.

Bring on the residual/MF information.

Depending on the programs, I will definitely look at the CLA45 AMG for that price.

If you get the non-hybrid Sport AWD with everything other than the tech package, the price is about $10K less than a similarly equipped Audi S4 with DSG. If you get the hybrid, then it's $5K less than that Audi. It's meaningful savings of 10-20%, but not a clear decision because the Audi does provide value for that extra money like the nicer DSG transmission (or 6MT), and an awesome supercharged V6.

If the Q50 was equivalent to the Audi (including a state-of-the-art transmission) for the same price as the Audi, I would pick the Infiniti. But the way it is, I would cough up the extra few thousand bucks for the Audi.

Disclosure: I own both a G37 sedan and an Audi S5.

No, it's not. I thought you said that lack of MT was a complete deal breaker? Why are you still in the thread?
