Weird Noise when going over bumps
Hey guys recently Ive been hearing a noise when I go over speed bumps or deep dips in the road.. Its sounds like plastic or rubber rubbing together or getting crunched. And I think it coming from my front shocks or springs. I looked over the bottom of the car and i didnt see anything out of the ordinary... what do you think it is? or what could cause it??

I posted on this recently and didn't really get a good answer from anyone. I have that same exact problem. Is yours intermittent or does it happen every time? Mine seems to be intermittent and I am thinking the temperature is a factor but I am not sure. Mine doesn't have a metallic sound but more of a squeak or squish sound to it. Very strange. Hopefully someone will come up with an answer.

I actually have been experiencing this for the last few months. My car has about 15K and makes some "squishy/squeeky" noise over certain bumps and dips. It sort of sounds like a plastic panel engine cover scrapping against the asphalt coming out of low driveways. The noise is coming from the front shocks. Sometimes only one side makes this noise over bumps, sometimes both. Since I hear it during the day and night over the same locations, I can say that temperature is not affecting it. Perhaps my sway bars need lubrication?

Do you re-grease those bushings on any particular interval? Time or mileage? I ask, because I've a set of Eibach sways that will be going on the car soon. If it ever stops snowing, that is. (Damn winter.)

From my experience, swaybars tend to "creak" when bushings need grease.
If it sounds like metal to metal contact (like exhaust hitting frame), look at sway bar end links as a possibility. They are notorius for failing on lowered cars, especially the stock end links.

, had hotchkis sways for a year and it started to make noise and yes its the bushing thats needs silicone greasing. Its embarrassing when drive pass people and car makes that noise.
If you have ability to get underneath your car, guessing once a year. In my case, I might just buy the silicone and slip the mechanic $20 to do it for me every winter.

If this is indeed your bushings, try this technique.
Wrap the area with plumbers tape before greasing the daylights out of it. It lasts longer. I use this trick of tape coupled with Amsoil Synth grease and haven't had the need to regrease in over a year (rears). The fronts i recently regreased since there was nothing else to do, it still had tons of grease there.

Just a warning guys, some dealership might asses a diagnostic fee ($125) if the cause is not cover under warranty IE wear & tear issue, none factory item etc. Not debating if its right or wrong practice, I can see both side of the argument but for me I stop going to that dealership. If I was trying to get free service or get one over, then shame on me and deserve it but that was not my intention.
