BTW, op, what car you get depends on what you want it for.. a 335 like others said is probably one of the most UN-reliable newer cars you can possibly get.. They are JUNK! Fuel pump issues, turbo issues, random limp mode issues, ext... S4 is nice, but Audi have alot of problems as well... A non turbo e90 or 360 bmw is a nice choice as they are very reliable, but having come from owning half a dozen of them the G imo is superior in almost every way.. They have way more power, way more standard options, way less maintenance and cost of ownership among other things.
The g is superior in almost every way to a 335, except for handling, performance and looks.

Lol, that's pretty much saying the only thing that G is better than the 335 is the interior design/quality.

Haha

Our cars out handle a 335i. Our car almost handles as well as a m3 and they purposely kept the 335 and m3 far apart in that way. Performance they have us out of the box but are limited by their fuel system to about 500 hp. No upgrade available for the pump. styling being subjective i believe that the 335i and the g are so different they cant be compared in that way. the 3 is stunning as a euro touring car. The g is a aggressive tuner car. FYI iam a big fan of the 335i and if it wasnt complete crap in reliability i would have one right now because it has the best motor put in a car since the supra. also the 335i and all audi's suffer from horrible carbon buildup because of their direct injection systems. the bmw will cost you over a grand to have it walnut blasted and the audi is even worse.

No they don't, period. A 335 will out handle the g on a track easily. (I don't count street racing or stoplight racing where stupidity not common sense reigns.) other than the bold I agree with you.

If by that you mean the AWD G37 Sedan, or the RWD non-Sport, then yes. Otherwise, the RWD-Sport is pretty comparable, IMO. (An opinion based solely on driving a co-worker's 335i on the street, as compared to my Sedan 6MT. Never tracked either, except for one little Auto-X event.)

Sways, struts, brakes, tires and steering upgrades on the RWD-Sport really do make all the difference.

Someone posted a vid of a 335 against a g against 3 other sports sedans doing 5 laps. The 335 handily won with the g coming in second. Don't remember the details, doesn't matter. There is no indication the g will equal or out handle a 335 except in the realm of street racing, which counts for zero.

Some guy that my wife used to work with had a neighbor who once read a car forum post that shuts down this entire debate once and for all.

I don't remember the details, but it doesn't matter.

Exactly. If you are that interested in finding out...you can. Otherwise it's all hyperbole.

Wait, your "once saw a video" post was satire? Damn, g37guy01, I completely missed that.

Very subtle, my man. But much more funny now that I look at it in that context. Well done.

It's funny how a thread left to go along on it's own seems to usually drift toward some BMW related discussion. There really should be a BMW vs....... subforum on the site.

As all of you are getting lost in here, to clarify, the OP did not get the Lexus. It was terrycs. On a related nonrelated side note, maybe this forum should be called myinfinitiisbetterthaneverycarbecauseidriveit.ego.
