Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a G37x, and have narrowed it down to a Black/Graphite Sedan with Premium Package, either 2009 or 2010. I understand that there were some minor tweaks to the car for the 2010 model year, but am having trouble tracking them all down. Is the below a comprehensive list of changes from 2009 to 2010 for a G37x with the Premium Package?

• Slightly tweaked front grille
• Minor aesthetic change to the rear fender
• Upgraded navigation system with Bluetooth A2DP music streaming
• Removal of the Aux input jacks in favor of a USB jack
• Higher resolution navigation screen - is this noticeable?

Have I missed anything? Are all of the above correct? I want to make sure I'm making an informed decision in paying up or not for a 2010. Thanks!

not just the front grille, but the whole front fascia including the headlights was changed. the gauge cluster is a little different too with white needles and a blue LCD instead of a red LCD and needles. the center cupholder area is slightly different too from what i remember. wheels were changed too to a different design for the facelift.

thats all i remember off the top of my head

Is the front bumper much different for non-Sport package 2010's? I thought only the Sport package got the separated fog lights?

Any other small interior tweaks that I missed? Are all the trim materials inside the cabin the same?

The 2010's come stock with backup cameras, 2009's needed the tech package. 2010's lose the automatic adaptive headlights as they were not offered after 2009. The aluminum and wood interior trims on the 2010 are very different from pre-2010, the 2010 ones are higher quality. Instead of the brushed aluminum in 2009 they changed it to a shinier, less stressed "Washi" aluminum and the wood is real, not a cheap looking veneer. They also modified the notorious steering wheel trim that scratches easily in 2010 to a more durable compound. That's all I can think of that hasn't been mentioned.

Slight tweak to above - backup camera comes with Nav package. Tech package requires Nav package on 2009.

From what I have read on the forum the 09 had 7AT issues with throttle surge, and i think they addressed it in the 10.

Thanks, that's the type of detail I was afraid I'd missed. Is the aluminum really that different / that bad on the '09? It would drive me crazy to have a screwed up dash...

^^I think the 11+ models have a higher res display paired with the nav package.

so much misinformation on here. OP - to be certain, you should go look at an '09 and '10 back to back. most dealers will have a good variety to inspect. the differences are primarily cosmetic, as most have mentioned. some prefer the changes, some do not. check them out and choose for yourself.

I had a 09 and now a 13. Two things that my 13 dosen't have that the 09 did.. No power lumbar adjustment, it's manual now, and the secret storage area in the rear center armrest is gone..
