Check that thread. Plenty of examples of what is considered normal for the G37 sedan at a drag strip. Typically around 101-102mph. 13.6-13.9 1/4 mile.

Know somebody that saw the run.
Car was bone stock out of a rental fleet.
Front tires 48 psi, rear tires 28, no spare, 1/8 tank of gas.
That's it other than good weather and a good driver.

Is Hertz now offering nitrous on rental cars along with the optional GPS? What is the daily rate for the Juice at Hertz?
The car was stock. DA was -150. Car was a base model with 17 inch wheels. Period.
If Motor Trend can get over 105 mph trap speed from a G37, not sure why it would take nitrous to trap 106.
All things considered, 12.8 @ 108 is soft for a 100 shot.
What was you 60 foot?
What was the DA?
What size wheels did you have?
Did you shallow or deep stage?
Did you let the car cool down before your run?
Did you empty your trunk and take out your spare?
Did you run it light on gas? (Full tank is like having a 150 passenger along for the 1/4 mile ride)

60 ft was 1.9
Running heavy 20 x 9 20 x 10 savini's
Car was as cool as it could be on 90deg without oil cooler.
Trunk has 10 lbs nitrous tank plus hardware brakets plus the nano tank another 5 lbs.
No spare
Less than 1/2 tank.
Plus i had a 5 at that shifted like a sloth.
Never bothered with the times slip I was disgusted.

I trust numbers from professional testers way more than amateur drag racers. What most important aspect is that the methodologies employed for getting those results are consistence. I consider it is perfectly legit to compare the numbers that are produced by the same group of professionals.

A drag strip is a drag strip. Same thing happens all across the country at every drag strip. All measured the same way. Really, the only "real world" numbers any of us are going to see.
Also, to your point about "compare numbers that are produced by the same group" - well you can't compare Motor Trend numbers to an actual run a drag strip because they are not "produced by the same group" and they use completely different methodologies.
Finally, your point about "amateur drag racers" - the thing is, trap speed is fairly consistent at a drag strip regardless of driver skill. The ET is highly affected by driver skill and shifting quickness. Trap speed, not so much.
