Lease Return?

Lease Return?
My 39 month lease is almost over for my 2010 G37xs.
My question is, I still have the original tires that came with the car and at the end of the lease return I will have racked up 39k miles on tires..
Current tread is 5/32 and 6/32 if I remember this correctly when I got my oil change recently.
For those of you who returned their lease vehicles. How does the lease return inspection work?
Are they really **** about the tire wear?
I heard the salesman say they discount up to 500$ of any wear and tears? is this correct?
Any info would be sincerely appreciated!

I guess it depends on the individual inspecting your car as if there's any wiggle room w/ the specifics. 39kmiles on those crappy Goodyear RS-As is hard to imagine, I got rid of mine after 1,000 miles, car was severely hindered w/ those rag treads
At any rate good luck w/ your return

I suspect they will be really **** about tire wear IF you're returning your G and not leasing or buying another Infiniti product. I just took advantage of the "pull forward" program last week. Under this program, Infiniti makes three of your payments and my dealer covered the other two. I returned my 2010 G37X and leased a 2013...for the same monthly price with $0 down and no first payment. My tires were about 3/32nd in front and 4/32nd in back...all was waived. My new lease is 12,000 mile per year/24 months. If I like the Q50, I'll probably take advantage a future pull forward program.

Being a Sport, my oem tires lasted about 10K. My replacement tires have plenty of tread as I near the end of my lease, so I'm gonna roast the tread down to a minimal acceptable amount before turn in.

I got a pull forward email last week myself. Infiniti will pay for three payments and the dealer will pay for three. I'm not sure what I want next so I'm hanging loose at the moment. I'm probably going with an M this go around since the Q isn't out.

I like the M...but the lease rates are still fairly high. I went with the G, hoping that another pull forward program in about 18 months will allow me to get into a Q at that point. I don't know about the M, but the total interest cost for all 24 months on my lease is $16.24....about 70 cents per month....and the residual is an unbelievably high 69%. Hard to beat for a decent car. Good luck with your decision.

The residual on my current G with a 24mo/50k mile lease was/is 69% and I remember that well because the finance guy seemed shocked when he pulled up the lease.
The M is a notably higher payment especially loaded up, but this is going to be a corporate lease so that big payment helps me pay less in taxes at the end of the year.

My lease is up in a couple of months. When I performed my inspection 2 months ago on my G37S, my winter tires were on the car. My summer tires, the RE050 which came with the car, are really low on tread on the rear. In speaking with the guy who performed the inspection, he goes "no problem, the report is clean for tires so just return it with those tires." My sales guy said the same thing... I'm not buying it. Especially as I'm returning the car and not leasing another Infiniti.
I really want to avoid purchasing the RE050s - very expensive tires. And I really want to avoid getting dinged for them from the dealer/Infiniti as they quoted me 400/tire just a few months ago. I literally laughed my way out of the service area.
That said, can I get some less expensive high performance summer tires instead? The fronts have adequate treads. The guide posted above said the tires needed to be of similar specs and be part of a "matching set." What constitutes a "matching set"? Two tires or all 4??
