A Question About G25
Hi there
I know this forum concerns only G37, but as I don't know where to ask this question, and as I am a member in this awesome forum and the G25 doesn't differ much with G37.. I am posting it here..
My friend owns a G25 and is asking me whether it can be moded exactly the same as G37 or not.. I mean like, intakes, headers, pipes, catbacks etc..
Will the mods fit the car ?? Will the engine tolerates the modifications ?? Will it improve the performance? and by how much ??
thank you

Not many G25 owners around here at all so you may not get much help. What I do know is that since the G25 is the same body with a different engine, anything completely unrelated to the engine should be the same, like suspension or body parts. Anything having to do with the engine directly will not work, like intakes, headers, etc.

Is he modding for power or for sound?

I guess I will be the one that says it...depending on the age of the car, he is probably better off selling the 25 and getting a 37. Unless he is just planning cosmetic mods, etc.

I agree with brizey...the G25 wasn't even that much cheaper than a 37, and loses a significant amount of power with not much gain in MPG which is why Infiniti got rid of it for the 2013 model year.
If he wants to mod for more horsepower, might as well just spent the extra couple G's to get the G37, which is significantly better.

OP, help your friend out by recommending simple suspension mods first. Sway bars, summer-only tires, and maybe an aftermarket intake for grunt.

OP, there is a member named Fabianmg77 and his G25 has some minor mods...try PM him for advice.

Does the G25 use the same engine as the Altima 25?
I would check in here: Altima Forums.net - The Nissan Altima Enthusiast Talk and Discussion Forums - Powered by vBulletin
Maybe there are intakes and such that would interchange I just don't know.
