Cars are now harder to steal, but given enough time, they still can be vulnerable to thieves.

i suppose anything is possible...you can always hotwire any car. Not one car is completely secure. I suggest what you should do is not park in that area, and park your car somewhere safer. Your car might be the nicest one in the lot there, so you should probably lock it down. Perhaps you should get a one of those steering wheel clubs to make it more difficult to steal.

without the chip that has the programmed "code" for your car they won't be able to steal it (part of the engine immobilizer system). There's also no key slot for the ignition for them to force it to turn over.
Unfortunately there is hardware/software that lets thieves capture your code and open the car up/steal it. We had a friend who's car was broken into but the locks were undamaged. The cops told them they can pick your signal up when you use the keyless remote.
Sounds like a low life kid who isn't familiar with newer cars trying to get in and take it for a joy ride. These cars are harder to steal, but if someone wants it bad enough they can get it (as with any car).

I think you should put a frag grenade by the parking brake pedal , pull the pin and use the pressure of the pedal to hold the handle down ... When he presses it loose to take the car it rolls out and either blows his legs off or kills him, either way he won't escape.

Amateur hour. If they were pros, they'd have gotten your car the first time, with or without the key. They'd have just rolled up and loaded it onto a flatbed or tow dollies and driven away. You need to park in a more secure area if at all possible. Or possibly get police involved to try to catch them in the act.

Seriously though, what do we do then.. Back to the club? Not that it won't prevent a stolen car, but it does slow a thief down.

^^ The problem is the laws that lack of deterrent. How about a life sentence working in a remote coal mine with a shovel if caught red-handed. This would also solve a lot of need of cheap labor.
