That shadow effect is nice, great lighting for the shot.

I'll definitely start a thread on the grille wrap attempt (good or bad outcome). I think I'm going to attempt to do a DIY post (in hopes it turns out well). Not sure when I'll start on it though, I just received the Front and Rear OEM lips and will probably tackle that install first.

I ordered the vinyl from the place Blnewt suggested (autovinylsolutions), the black gloss metallic has little flakes in it that look exactly like the OEM midnight grill. I've never attempted a vinyl install, so I'll probably cut a foot off and do a practice run beforehand. I picked up their felt tipped squeegee as well in hopes it'll help with stretching the material between the slats. I'm going to attempt to do it in one piece like sniper's install.

Good on you for starting a thread regardless of the outcome.

This might be lame advice, but remove the grille and do the work at a table. It's really not that difficult to remove the grille. Well, just the first time it is, after that, easy peasy.

Lastly... rear OEM lip? Do you mean front chin and the trunk-lid duckbill spoiler?

Yea I plan to take it off the car to work on it better. I saw a grille removal DIY I'll follow, I've changed out the grille on other cars but not the G yet.

I guess it's not a rear "lip", you're right, it is a "Deck lid spoiler". I ran out of room on my signature so I just said F/R OEM lip for short and have found myself calling it that... Just means I need to upgrade my membership status haha

edit: fixed it :P
