That's a badass interior. Man, what a sweet deal.

The interior, however, killed the E92 for me. Also, I was too afraid of reliability problems with the N54 engine in the 335is. The N55 in the 335i seems fine, but you don't get the DCT in the 335i, and BMW manual transmission is ok but not great. I was also looking at the M3, but the interior quality level was simply not acceptable to me for the price.
I think the early N54s had the common problems, but the revised one in the is- particularly late models- resolved most if not all those issues. Time will tell!

And yes, the DCT is incredible. So nice to have a quality transmission again. The 7at has just been such a disappointment. I hope the q50 isn't riddled with the same issues.

Thanks for the nice comments and your friendship on this forum, guys!
Understood regarding shipping those odd-sized items, no problem if you can find a local buyer first.
BTW, nice wheels on your 3. As far as the interior goes, the leather is 10x better than the Gs, the seats are just fine, the rest is pretty utilitarian, but to get the drive you'll be getting is all worth it IMO. Paint is better and the DCT is a blast (loved driving a DCT 135i a while back, shifts just click w/ such snap.
But you WILL miss US

I researched the N54 quite a bit a few months ago when I was in the market. I found a document from BMW describing all the improvements they made in the N55. The N54 was their first attempt, and then they quickly improved the design for better reliability and lower fuel consumption with the N55. The N54 pretty much stayed the same other than the new fuel pump. I couldn't bring myself to buy the N54 after reading that document, and all the issues with it reported on BMW forums.

Anyway, this doesn't mean you'll experience any issues, and I wish you many years of enjoyment - it's an awesome car! I almost got one - in fact, I special ordered one, but then passed on it later on.

No... what are we going to talk about here now?

Congrats on the lateral move. Nice car for sure.

LMK what your asking price is for the wheels/tire and the pads. Somewhat interested.

Thanks.

Ashmasrro, I thought the new 2014 - coming this Summer - does have a new Tranny? Didn't I read somewhere that they are going to a new 8 AT?

Thanks again for all the kind words! I plan to check in here every now and then and if anyone wants to keep in touch over email shoot me your info over PM and I'll do the same!

Also, thanks to those who PMed me their interest in the parts- that's the best way to do it so if you want dibs please do that. If anything gets presold I'll make that clear in the first post.

I won't be able to reply to the PMs until tonight or tomorrow due to work responsibilities, so hang tight!

The Q50? Pretty sure its the same 7AT- at least for the non-hybrid. Which is what I would have gotten if I stuck with Infiniti. The new Hybrid is the most compelling one I've seen at a midrange price point, but I just don't want a Hybrid since I will be tracking my car and don't want the added complexity.

Hey I need to stick around at least long enough to see how your cherry build turns out! (or did I mean plum? hahahaha).

It also just occurred to me that we are now both members of the FI 3 liter inline six club!

Nice looking 3-Series!

I was also a bit surprised to see no engine upgrades in a 'new' car. It was a bit of disappointment.

Anyway, GLWS and enjoy the twin turbos!
