Are you sticking with Infiniti if the Q50 doesn't impress?

I am already debating the topic the OP started with this thread. I have owned/leased 6 G variants (3 coupes and 3 sedans) over the past 9 years. Before anyone's quick to judge, I had a 12 month lease on an '06 coupe and currently in an 18 month lease on a '12 sedan.
I briefly went to a Kia Optima SX, but really missed having a manual and the overall handling of that car was not quite complete. The vehicle would always "wander" on the freeway, like the road crown kept changing every 30 seconds. It was very annoying.
I really like the A4 and new 328, because I would like an awd turbo-4 with manual, but the lease rates on the Infiniti blow the other OEMs out of the water. My current '12 G37S 6MT sticker is $43k, but with incentives and discounts my lease is $350/mo. Same lease term/conditons for an A4 with sticker of $38k was $475/mo. The 328 was even higher.
If the Q50 can lean on its value and still be the best bang for your buck at under $45k, then yes I still plan to get one after my lease is up. If not, then I am ready to jump on the Cadillac ATS 2.0T 6MT with heavy incentives and a GM discount.

Ask most any one of us what you drive, and the likely answer is, "I drive a G." Ask a 335i owner what they drive, and the likely answer is, "I drive a BMW." There's a subtle difference there, and it is not complimentary to the BMW owner. At least, not by my reasoning.
Now fast-forward a bit, and ask yourself how the Q50 and Q60 owners would respond to that question. Would they say, "I drive a Q"?
A Q what?

If I tell them I drive a G, they would probably go wtf is a G.
If you tell people next year that you drive a Q, they will probably answer with me too, I love my Q5.

Good point. RIP, Pontiac.You should have given the guy more slack... he knew enough to know Pontiac had a number of models named "G". And let's all admit, even though the G8 GT was a boat, the Aussie was a respectable car for its class. Crude, awkward, unique and still totally awesome... all at the same time. Much like the GTO before it.

Try not talking to a redneck next time who owns nothing outside of GM's fleet. When I refer to the Infiniti, I say G37 instead, and every one knows what I am talking about.

I don't want a new car payment and 5 more years of debt. As compelled as I am to have something shiny and new I'll try my hardest to hang onto this car until my extended warranty is up 2018.
I may just be an Infiniti man though. I still enjoy my car almost 3 years later.

unless they change their minds and bring back the 6MT sedan model, i'm headed elsewhere. i've really enjoyed my 6MT G sedans ('04 & '09) so it will be a sad day, but 6MT is a must.
run-flat tires doesn't help either, unless that is just for the hybrid model. it may seem like a minor detail, but every person i know with RFTs has terrible things to say - either with ride quality or replacement options, or other...

Im between a 2014 Audi S3 Sedan, a 2014 CLA45 AMG, and a Q50 for my next car.
Nixxed the IS350 AWD due to looks, the TL SH-AWD because its just fugly, the A4 due to lack of power, the C class because they dont make an AWD 350....
I really like the 235i gran coupe style, but I dont think its going to come AWD.
For me there is no brand loyalty, its just who is making the car that best suits my needs.

In some respects some of the changes they've made to the Q are very appealing to me...I want a little more quiet, a bit more luxury, and a little more room....but I still want something fast that handles reasonably well. I like the BMW 3 series, but the value point is poor....$50,000 for a nicely equipped 4 banger. I like Audi's, but no dealership within 200 miles. What the heck, maybe I should save some money and buy something like a decently equipped Ford Fusion....then buy a five or six year old convertible Z for my weekend toy.
