Are you sticking with Infiniti if the Q50 doesn't impress?

Former 2010 G37x Onwer - Now 2013 M37X
I don't know about others around the country, but in the NY Metro area, I think I have seen 1 - Uno , new Q50 on the road since last summers intro.
I never test drove it, but did come to see it live at a local Dealer in May 2013. If it had added some more interior room, I may have considered it as a replacement for my 2010 G37X. I was even hesitant on the new M due to the 7AT in my G37X. The M still exhibits some of that lagging - less so - and what still Puzzles me, at different times. At some times she runs great and responsive, and at other times it gets laggy. I play with the various modes on the M: switch between DS, Standard, Eco and even Snow Modes. That seems to eliminate the periods of the lagging. It all comes down to mileage using the ECU to upshift to early for MPGs. BTW, I am getting MORE than advertised MPGs {averaging 23-23.5 overall even though it's rated at 22 Mpg!!! on the highway} .
There are very few members and entries on the MSpot, sorry for crashing the G party with my posts......

Interesting thread.
I, too, am surprised by how many people are considering coupes. My kids don't disappear because I want a new car.
And, as usual, I am nauseated by how much everyone cares about looks over substance, lol.
My next car will likely be a 3 year old IS350 F-sport in about five years, assuming nothing happens to my current car and Lexus continues on their roll of making the sportiest sedans in the Japanese near luxury market.

I really like the look of the Q50. The interior is beautiful. That said I wish there was at least some upgrade to the motor at least a small power increase and a bit better MPG.
I drove one on Monday had it as a loaner was an AWD model. I liked it though it didn't feel like a huge difference between it and the G. The steering felt fine but I also didn't push it all in the corners. It felt like it had more low end torque by a small margin.
Also I've seen maybe a half dozen of them on the road so far.

I am currently driving a G37S 6MT an love it, and since this is about a car I would be buying in the future I will be able to afford a more expensive one that is why I started with the Q50ER. Plus the corvette can be had for under 55K which is 5K more than a loaded Q50S. However I agree that the Tesla and F type are expensive, but in the long run its a possibility. I havent read through this thread properly but what are the common replacements fellow members are thinking about?

A quarter past stripped
I have heard people mention the new Lexus thats coming soon, and I personally like the Audi S5 but not brand new. I'd steer clear of the BMW's and the Benzs. The Benzs worth owning IMO are just too expensive, and the Beemers are over engineered. If we are talking vehicles in the range of our benevolent Infiniti then I'd say a lightly used Audi. That's just my pick.
I was just ribbing ya bye the way.
