Saw your pictures from the install and your garage looks awesome. So clean right now and all of those cabinets against the back wall are so nice. Also noticed that you are a Corvette guy. Since you asked, here's a pic I snapped this morning. My garage is pretty cramped but the high ceiling makes up for it. Have two kids so their crap is proliferating - even after the addition of a shed.

Since you have a red Corvette I thought I'd show you what's under the cover. This video was taken in November when searching for an oil leak that almost ran the engine dry. Luckily, it was just valve cover gaskets.

Sweet! How tall is your garage, Monty? Looks about the height of mine.

I believe it's just over 13'. Tall enough to lift a CX9 to 60" on the lift (max lift height) with a few inches to spare before crushing the light bulb.

Brian,

That looks great. What lift is that again? The Cabinets were built by the previous owner himself (lived here 16 months before we got it 8 years ago).

I have a 3 year old daughter and stuff stacks up QUICK as you know. I cleaned a bunch out in oreperation of the project, BUT, need to do a final sweep of inventory to get things straight. There is already stuff stacking up again and I HATE it. In many pictures, there was still a bunch of stuff outside the garage. it isn't too bad, but I need to still figure out some good solutions, liek some hooks on the wall and a few other things. I haver so many damn cabinets. I bet I can put alot fo stuff in there. The previosu owner left all kinds of stuff in the cabinets I still use today and I still find new stuff all the time. LOL

I am sure you have seen it, but for those who are on this post looing, here is the Finished Project Link below:

It's a pro park 7 that I bought on EBAY through greg smith equipment sales about 10 years ago. My buddies and I moved it to a different house back in 2006. It doesn't have the height and the capacity or the safety lock mechanism of some of the newer lifts but it has served me well for 10 years and shows no signs of problems. I do adjust the cables and lube the slider blocks annually. I'm sure you've done your HW but out of adjustment cables and latches can cause some serious problems and lead to binding. Be sure to inspect and adjust as required!

Have the standard ramps and jack tray + casters which really makes moving it around easy. If you plan on doing any suspension or transmission work I recommend a rolling differential jack. I doubt I'll ever use it for my G37 but the differential jack has come in handy for multiple transmission installes and rear suspension/differential removal on the old Corvette.
