Bad Windhshield!

Bad Windhshield!
I have a 2012 G37x S Sedan and i notice when it gets cold outside usually under 45 degrees the windshield makes a lot of noises while driving....Especially on rougher roads. I think it has something to do with the weather stripping under the actual windshield...unfortunately when I bring it in to get looked at the noise goes away...I guess it hasn't been cold enough yet when I bring it in to the dealer....Does anyone else have this problem....Its squeaking and rattling...very irritating.

Can also tell the dealer you want the felt put on the cowl and they should fix for you.

I've also got a 2012 G37x and we've had a few days below freezing and I haven't noticed anything like that. I will get an occasional pop from the windshield area when it is really cold and I have the defrost on probably due to the temp difference between the inside and outside of the car.

I was having the same issues with my 11x coupe and did the mod last weekend. When the weather was below 40 I would hear all kinds of popping/cracking noises. It was driving me crazy. After following the DIY fix that was posted I no longer have the popping/cracking noises. I dont think there is a TSB for this and it is beyond me why they do not put some weather stripping or felt in this location when they manufacture the car.
The fix only took a half hour and was easy to do. It would have been quicker if the wiper arms would pop off without man handeling them. If you are looking to do this you can find thin sticky back felt sheets in the arts/crafts section at walmart. They come in a multicolor pack of 5 and are sold under the brand "Craft Felts". You will use less than one black sheet cut into thin strips to complete this fix.
One creak/rattle down. Three more for me to go. Good luck.

Take it to the dealer when the weather is cold, and leave the car there (outside) overnight. Make certain they know to drive the car first thing in the morning, and before they bring the car inside. I would think they would hear your noise under such conditions.
