Black soot on exhaust tip

Today I noticed inside of Stillen exhaust tips are covered with a layer of black soot. I am running too rich, how? I thought with the CBE and CAI mods I would be running on the lean side. Is there a solution for this? Do I even need to worry about it?

Thanks in advance.

It's a product of incomplete combustion (when a carbon-based fuel doesn't completely burn in oxygen). I believe it is the leftover carbon that did not burn.

It's an unburnt carbon.. Coal Dust I guess

normal. when you floor it your fuel system dumps massive amounts of fuel at WOT. that is just the result of it not being burnt off. its normal.
