So sorry, dealer washed the car..
Last week, after discovered that my 09 had a tire rod rubber seal broken, I took the car to the dealer for repair. Normally I would not let they wash the car, but this time after a long trip, I gave in. Big mistake, my car how has deep swirl marks, even the wind shield has it. Looks like some-one took a polisher an went at it.

Not trying to derail the thread, but are all Infiniti dealership bad? I took my G37 to the one in town and it came back with missing windshield wiper the first time and damaged window the second time. They are just so incompetent!

Hey...if it makes you feel any better, my dealer put an "outie" ding in my door when replacing the window mechanism. Went to a ding repair place and the guy had to push it in before making the repair which came out alright, but could have destroyed the look if not. Unbelievable.

Well the inverse is you take it to a dealer that is so lazy they can never duplicate any issue. And when you say dont wash they dont because its work they can avoid.

Like others on this board I too have had less than positive experiences with the dealer service department. They are nice enough...but grossly incompetent on even the most basic issues. For instance, I had pronounced wind noise from the right quarter window....a very common problem with a well document fix. Unfortunately, the dealership could not duplicate....I fixed it myself with a bit of silicone. Crazy on a $43,000 car!!!
Unless there is a warranty issue, I won't darken the door of the dealership again and sadly, I will probably dump the G with the lease is up. Though I like the car I don't like the idea of needing to depend on a poor dealer for needed service.

Have you ever noticed that people who refer to the G-Sedan as a $43,000 luxury car are typically renters? Curious bit of psychology there.

There is just no QA on quality of work anymore. All is rush, rush and quantity over quality. They always want to sell you "maintenance package", but can't find the problem even if you pointed out exactly what was wrong. To be fair, Infiniti dealers are not the worst one, it is an industry wide problem. Pray that your car does not need warranty service.
