[QUOTE=rpm&my_G35;3548919]OP - what all seasons does the X come with on the 2012?

Goodyear EAGLE RS-A's

I completely agree with you that I prefer to be able to stop and for maneuvering around unforeseen occurences.

Interesting...the 2013 model has Dunlop SP Sport MAX. Those Eagle RSA tires have been around FOREVER...had them on my old Chryslers YEARS ago.

I just got a 2013 G37x coupe...so I'm sure...
It's Dunlop SP Sport MAXX A/S - not a summer tire. Although from the reviews I'm reading it's more of a 3 season tire and not so great in snow. I guess I'll find out soon enough here in Michigan.

edit: The X Sedan also comes with the Dunlops...same as coupe...if you get the 18's. I didn't read the whole thread soooo...

The 2013 Sedans still have the RS-A's on the Journey and X and the S get the Bridgestones.

I was just going off of what Tirerack was showing and assumed it was the same. Their site shows the same Dunlops for the 18" wheels on the 2013 X Sedan as my coupe. Perhaps it's wrong...just ignore me...what do I know...

My previous vehicle was a 2007 G35x which I drove with the stock Goodyears RSA's all year round. I was very surprised at how well the AWD system worked and got me through many a snow storms without ever getting stuck, although by the end of the 3 year lease the tires were quite worn - caveat you had to be careful and give yourself much more room for stopping/turning. On my 2010 G37xS I ended up getting a different set of rims with Toyo Garit KX winter tires. When the temperature drops and/or you are doing highway driving the difference is night and day, much safer. I would recommend that anyone that drives in areas that get snowfall put on winter tires. You will be much safer as well as get more years of usage out of the stock tires which somewhat negates the extra cost of getting winter tires/rims.
