Is the AWD system really worth it?

I have an Escalade and a Sequoia at my disposal if needed but for the normal stuff the AWD will do nicely.
Can anyone explain to me why the used G37's in NY /NJ are so much less expensive then that of the MD / DC area? Is it just a supply and demand thing?

This is my first winter since buying my 09 X coupe. I figured I'd wait for the first snow to see how it behaved before getting winter tires for it. I'm coming from a RWD RX8 with Pirelli Sotozero winters for comparison. Well, we just had about 8" dropped on us and I took it out before the plows cleaned the roads up. With the stock Dunlop all seasons and snow mode enabled, I had absolutely no problem at all driving in 4-6 inches of powder. I took it into a parking lot and floored it etc. I'm very impressed with the X. Of course it would be better for icy braking with winter tires on it but I had no traction problems at all in snow.
