1upUSA Bike Rack - Stuck on Hitch

Hey Guys,

I did call and email 1upUSA about my situation, but I'm afraid they have left for the day. So I'm asking here to see if anyone experienced this issue.

Here are the two items I've installed:

Curt 11499 Hitch
1upUSA Quick Rack

Upon test fitting the rack, I inserted it until it stopped and tightened with the supplied wrench. When I tried to loosen the bolt and remove the rack, it wouldn't budge. I went as far as removing the bolt completely, and still no luck.

I tried using pliers and wrapped with cardboard to push the ball bearing back in, but that didn't work. I was also afraid to damage it, so I didn't get too creative.

I believe the issue is that the receiver is shorter than the rack itself. I've uploaded pictures of the ball bearing and loosened bolt.

Besides waiting for 1upusa, does anyone have any good ideas?

Thanks

I would cut the hitch off and throw it in the trash. I looks terrible on a G.

Thanks for the feedback, but I wasn't looking for how you think it looks. I didn't post this in Media Share and I really don't want to turn this into a "racks dont believe on a g" thread.

I know there are other 1up owners on this site, and I was looking for their input on their rack\hitch setup. Yes, I can remove the hitch\rack together (no need to cut it off) but I just don't trust trunk mount racks anymore.

Just got back from 1upUSA. Just needed a love tap on the ball.
