It's the "V4" part that everyone is laughing at. Four cylinder engines are generally referred to as I4 ( inline four). You don't know your cars, therefore, you are not an enthusiast, you merely drive a nice car.
This is the last time I remember seeing (reading?) about a V4: Mustang Prototype
I wonder if packaging considerations will ever bring this configuration back...
