2009 infiniti g37/journey/sport
I'm on the hunt for a 4 door g37 and I keep running into different ones that car fax says are "INFINITY G37/JOURNEY/SPORT" now what confuses me is that when I look at the car it doesn't have the sport bumper or pedals etc. so what exactly does it mean in this case? I also looked at one that was base and did not even have a sunroof and the car fax showed that one as just "2009 INFINITI G37" So it's just frustrating since I want to know what I'm buying. I have tried search but there's so many posts about g37s that I can't find what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance and also for any tips on sedans out there.

The "Journey Sport" is exactly the same car as the 6MT Sedan, except that it has an automatic transmission. Both models are RWD-only, with a limited slip differential, big-brakes, sport-suspension and sport steering... all of which are missing on the AWD, which has nothing "sport" about it. I had a G37x loaner this week, and it was noticeably less worthy.
Learn up on the car you're searching for, and you'll be an expert quick enough. Too many people buy a car and *then* start asking questions about what they have. So you're on the right track.

just purchased an '09 g37 journey sedan fully loaded except the sport package. on the carfax, it says g37/ journey / sport as well for whatever reason. if it is a journey and they added the sport package, it will have an red s badge logo on the back of the car. good luck finding a good deal. it's a nice car

I'm actually down to 2 cars both true sport one is white has 54k miles and is manual. Only issues is the light colored interior scares me a bit since I have a 2 year old granddaughter with me sometimes and I have a 9 year old, also my wife isn't great at driving manuals unless it's a Dodge Cummins lol. The second car is a red auto that I love how it looks but it has 71k and they are asking 2100 more for the red one. I guess the responsible side says lower mileage and cheaper while the other side says red looks better and I like the black interior.
Ps. Both have navigation and Bose system

White w/stone leather is classy (mine). And the 6MT is a far more engaging, exciting drive (also mine). However, Red w/black leather is sexy, and you've got some obvious considerations here.
Get the red car. Talk them down on the money, and you won't have to worry about the mess or your wife.
BTW, does either have AWAS? That's a pretty rare feature on these cars.

(See my profile location.)
All Wheel Active Steering. I believe 2009 was the last year they offered it on the G. Not positive about that, though.
