I really wanted to like it, but was surprised when playing the video.

Tips look nice and flush to the bumper, though. And it sounds nice and rumbly at idle, until you rev it.

Are your test pipes resonated? My GTM rtps and invidia q300 sounds way deeper and smooth throughout the entire rpm band with no rasp at all. I get a slight crackle when coming down on rpms in gear but no rasp at all

How are you running this car without an exhaust catalyst anyway? O2 Sim?

And you live in NY, with annual inspections where they won't sniff, but they certainly do scan. So right now, your non-resonated test-pipes are giving you a raspy tone, and a CEL. Seems to me, if you're not going to spoof the sensor signals with a simulator or sensor extenders, then you should have bought a pair of HFC's. But I've not researched this issue on the G yet, so I'm curious...

...what's your plan, Silver?

The thing is the light doesn't matter to me and i got friends who do inspections so i got it covered!! First off the 02 simulators don't work because i tried it! The only thing that helps is getting a tune from uprev.

With the CEL lit 24/7, aside from being really super annoying, it will mask the next time you actually need to be informed of a bona-fide issue causing the CEL. The only way to truly have peace of mind is to carry an OBD Scanner around with you, and scan for (other) codes on a regular basis. Hmm, OK. That's a plan, I suppose.

I'm pretty sure it's a felony for processing false auto inspections in New York, but I'm no law expert. Either way, those are some awesome friends you have there, willing to risk their businesses like that. Stay tight with those guys.

O2 Sims work just fine. I've used them myself, just not on this car... hence my question on what you're doing about the CEL with the test pipe. And you've answered it. You're doing nothing.

Are you saying that the UpRev Tune will negate the CEL from having no catalyst in your exhaust? Who told you that one? Certainly not UpRev.

Clearly the car is not loud!! I have no drone what's so ever. I dont understand why you care so much for this because i really have no issue at all. Thanks.

"Drone" is when the exhaust is persistently and annoyingly loud all the time (like in a Mustang GT), whereas "rasp" is that high-pitched, inconsistent rattle in the exhaust (like in your car) where you would rather hear a modulated, deeper tone. These are two different things.

But you bring up a good point, Silver, in that I no longer care. It has been entertaining, though.

Carry on, bud. Enjoy your exhaust. Happy motoring.
