Battery discharge-2012 G37
Guys:
My 2012 G37's battery discharged completely. The park lights were still on after the car had been stopped a couple of hours earlier, but battery was so low all sorts of wierd indicators were flashing.
Conditions: The light switch was in the "automatic position" and the delay for shutting off the lights after shutting off the engine was set for 30 seconds.
It took 12 hours of 2 amp trickel charging to charge the battery to 75% and the car started OK. I checked the battery voltage with the car running and it read 14.08 volts so the charging system was OK.
The Infiniti service rep said that sometimes the car will "hang" in the "on" position if you hit the stop button twice when you are killing the engine. He said the battery will discharge in two hours under this condition.
The car now seems fine (we are now running with the light switch in the "Off" position).
Has anyone experienced a similiar failure? If so what was cause/solution?
Thanks for your help.

This happened to me once. I turned off the engine but left ACC on. When I came back a few hours later, the battery was dead enough that the car wouldn't start. I believe jump starting the car is the only solution which I did. The car does not have a sleep mode that protects the battery after a period of inactivity.

Buy a battery hydrometer for around $10.00 to check individual battery cells
Keep charging your battery overnight until each cell has a full charge and the hydrometer reads 1260 for each cell. That way you will know the battery has accepted a full charge with no damage from the full discharge.
