The 350 has a new 8-speed transmission. But yeah, I suppose it's pretty much the same car.

Both the IS and the Q50 seem kinda... blah to me right now.

IS has a lot of mixed reviews so far but I'm sure the media has agreed though besides its newly designed exterior, the interior and the F Sport has impressed them.

I'm waiting to see more reviews of the Q50...

This is just my guess... but the CTS will probably start in the $45-48k range. The V6 TT will prob be no less than $55-60k. And that's using the M's numbers as a comparison, which it now will compete with.

Honestly, both of their powertrains are more than sufficient. The IS350 F-Sport should be slightly quicker with that 8-spd, and the same can be said about the Q50 hybrid and the regular Q50 3.7 is lighter too. More HP isn't the only way to go faster. I think they played it smart from the business perspective while taking half a step forward.

Expect to spend some $$ cuz the CTS will no longer compete with the 3-Series, C-Class, Q50, etc. Its being bumped up a class to go toe to toe with the 5-Series, E-class, etc.
Since when did the CTS compete with the 3, c class, g etc. They were similar in price but that's about it.

New CTS will be in the 50-65k range, higher end featuring that TTV6. It competes with the midsize segment now. When it was released in 03, it competed with the likes of the G. But now the ATS has taken that position and it has moved up to the midsize luxury segment.

Recognizing that information and details are very sparse at this point - any thoughts on whether the AWD version will have a tigher suspension like the RWD version (Unlike how the G37x has a softer setup than the G37) and if the Sport Package AWD will be more than just a cosmetic package?

Sport awd will consist of everything included in the rwd sport package. Not the same as now.

I wonder how they managed to use the same 'S' suspension setup and obtain the same wheel gap without being concerned with the ground clearance of the AWD front differential. It will be interesting to see it...looking under the AWD.
I'm glad they will finally use the same setup as a true S model.

There's a build your own option now up on InfinitiUSA.com with all of the specs listed.

Curb weight (lbs)
Q50 3,574 vs G37 3,628

The AWD Hybrid weighs in at 4,145 lbs, RWD 4,085 lbs. Pretty hefty.
