Its very unlikely.. I think the resonator, the muffler design/packing material, and the pipe diamter manipulate the exhaust tone.

yes.

jk. i like them too. they probably won't look good with the bumper, tho. i think the quad tips would look out of place with the oval cutout.

I updated the main information on-top. Thanks for clarification.

Also thanks for the exhaust 'odor' clarification as well. Just was curious of it. Break in is what I assumed.

Has anyone contacted Cyba on the e90 forum? I know someone posted a link on the other thread Top Speed thread and tried to pm him but i never heard back because of the user account restrictions that they impose.

InfiniteSmoke, addressing the exhaust tips was the first thing I did when buying the car. 3.5" round seems less ostentatious than 4.0" or (yikes!) 4.5", so that's what I went with.

I'm not 100% satisfied... let's call it 90%. In any event, here's the thread and here's a pic, if it helps you explore other considerations.

Is it me, or do I not find it justifiable to spend that much on tips lol. Not knocking on the tips at all, but I would wanna be on the range of 75-100. Something that is subtle and clean looking, enough to get away. But maybe Im still kinda ticked off of the tips Im dealing with lol.

FYI, those OEM tips, although a "clamp" design, are actually welded on.

Pretty shoddy looking things, if you ask me.

OP, look at this "Daytona" tip from Sebring Tuning. I know 4.5" is kind of big, but damn those are pretty.

I had an email from Fast Intentions months ago, and was told to call Sandy @Sebring directly: 1-800 527-1440

Not bad, and if you're planning on dropping and making your G a bit more aggressive 4.5" tips are great (IMHO).

Good point. Save this ideas if I decide to go the Wald diffuser route later.

On another note, sanded down the tips with an angle grinder and it looks 100% better. I think I can live with it.

Sweet. Thank you for the help once again. Yes agreed, from the pictures it does look good. 4.5? Hmmmmm.. maybe with a rear diffuser from autokitx would look nice.

Welp...Finally getting new tips made.

Been working with Tony at Fast Intentions and he will be using the 4" double wall resonated tips that he puts on their Infiniti exhausts and fabbing it to fit the TopSpeed 2.25" short pipes (Tony likes to call them "Nipples") . Details from Tony:

"I can modify our current 4" tip down to 7" overall. I will make the inlet accept 2.25" inside of it to slide directly over your current nipples. For the extra 1/2" that I have just cut your nipples a 1/2" back."

Cost: $85\ea. If interested, hit up Tony via email or call FI.
