That is a good price. Still twice what it would cost to have your existing grille professionally painted, but then you wouldn't have two grilles to swap as the mood strikes.

Agreed. I was going to get the midnight grille but I was like for what? Nothing really special about it. I rather buy a used grill ($50 on ebay), have that painted to your preference and call it a day. But to each and their own! Good luck

The midnight grill is basically just a painted grill?

I'd love to do that, but prices for a 2010+ Sedan grille on ebay *start* at $150, and go up to $300. I've never seen a $50 grille.

Had a reputable custom shop quote me $120 out-the-door for prep, prime, paint and clear-coat in gloss black on the OEM grille. All I have to do is remove it and drop it off for a few days. I was going to do it this summer, but my mods are so spread out that I decided to save that for next Spring.

Also, it turns out removing the grille is easy. Well... the first time it's a PITA, but once you do it you can probably swap it out in 5 minutes afterwards. Best to figure that stuff out beforehand.

There's metallic flake in the Midnight Grille? How heavy is that? I'm guessing it's very light metallic.

^ well the one I saw on a coupe in my neighborhood did, it's not very noticeable at all though. They call it a sateen finish, but it looks like a slight metallic flake to me.

not my pic but can show what I'm talking about:

Here's the link where I bought it from. Ask these guys if they have more. They had over 20+ at one point. And they re-stock here and there.

IDK what that grille is, but it's not from the 2010+ G37 Sedan. I wonder what that is?

On the color... I clearly see the metallic flake. And you know what? I'm thinking it would look better without it, just in gloss black.

But those pictures The pics of the grille on the table aren't the same as the pics of the grille on the car. On the car, you see the chrome perimeter, but on the table the sides are completely different. Weird. I think the car photos are a Sedan, whereas the grille pics are for a Coupe. But I'm not familiar enough with the Coupe to know the difference, if any.

[edit] Yep, that's the issue. The Coupe grille is totally different. That's what was up with the earlier picture, and the disconnect in the pictures on that ebay site. I didn't know there was a difference. And now that I do, I think the Sedan grille is much better looking than the Coupe's. So we've got that going for us, LOL!

That one is a coupe grille. Looks different than the Sedan but the same concept. Regardless, if you like the 'flakes', Im sure a reputable shop can get it done.

Roch, anytime! Let me know how it goes sir!

These cars, esp the S, should've came with the stock midnight grille and anything else sporty. I think the sport design team for Infiniti should revamp things up for the upcoming models.

I would include a darker grille, lightly smoked out tails (more of a deep red/black) then bright red, spoiler can be kept optional, and of course headlights being similar to the coupes.

They already have a goldmine selling car, performance and luxury value, might as well make slight more adjustments to attract more clients.
