The lease on my G is ending soon. What to get next?

The lease on my 2010 G37X is ending in a few months, and I'm not sure what to get next.

For the most part I'm happy with the G, minus the terrible MPG, cramped cabin, compartments and trunk, non-folding rear seats, and awful paint.

My next car needs to be a little bigger (Sedan, Crossover, SUV), have enough power, decent handling, preferably AWD but not a deal breaker, and it needs to be cheaper than the G.

I was thinking VW Passat VR6, but I was never a fan of ze German auto.

Please feel free to provide feedbacks and opinions,
Thanks

Hyundai Genesis Sedans are pretty nice & a bit bigger than the Gs & the paint is definitely better. Much nicer interiors than the Genesis coupes too!

The FX costs more and is pretty cramped inside. The new gen G will probably cost more than mine also.
When are they coming out with the new shape?

New Passats are getting great reviews. Two of my friends have the TDI models and love them. I came from a VW Gti VR6 and I can tell you that those motors are bombproof! Maybe look into a CC 2.0T as well, but it's only a 4 seater.

Hyundai is also coming on strong and I also vote for the Genesis sedan. There are good lease deals on the Volvo S60 as well.

My $0.02.

New shape for the new gen G is 2013 Q3 - Q4 (Rumored).

Check out these others cars.

Acura TL. Lovely interior. FWD though
BMW 335. Performance. Ride Quality. But maintenance.
Mercedes C250. Small. Nice. But a wifeys car. Unless you get the coupe.
Lexus IS350. Nice. But really cramped.
Lexus GS350. New body style are nice.
BMW 5 Series
Audi A4
Audi A6
Audi A5 - Coupe

BMW X1/X3
Infiniti FX
Infiniti JX
Acura MDX
Acura RDX

I didnt include American nor really saw prices (+/- 5000) with different packages. But cars on top of my head.

lol, hope that helps.

Decide if you can live with fwd. After my poor experience with kia, i'm no fan of anything kia/hyundai. I still believe they're nothing more than a decorated turd.

All acura's (except for the awd) are also fwd.

Check out a caddy cts if that style appeals to you.

Since you're leasing, what about a bmw 335?

If you're coming from a coupe, the sedans will have a bit more room.

New Kias are actually really nice cars inside and out.
Of course they are budget cars but they are the best bang for the buck.
Reliability has gone way up also.

I think the G37 series is a decent sized car.
No problems loading a stroller and 3-4 bags in the trunk, car seat in the rear, and 3-4 other passengers.

OP stated he wanted the next car to be cheaper than the G, except for the RDX and possibly the C250 & A4, all will cost the same or significantly more than the G.

The Genesis are RWD, and not even close to a decorated turd (I guess you've never driven one??) The coupe is far more turd like, at least the interior

I looked at those too years back when I was getting the G

Acura TL. Lovely interior. FWD though - Love the TL even though most people hate the styling, but costs the same as the G
BMW 335. Performance. Ride Quality. But maintenance. - Nice but small and pricey
Mercedes C250. Small. Nice. But a wifeys car. Unless you get the coupe. - There's nothing to like about the C250, C300, C350. Tiny, ugly, no performance, costs the same as the G, what's the point? The C63 AMG I can bear
Lexus IS350. Nice. But really cramped - Costs the same, small
Lexus GS350. New body style are nice - Very nice but pricey
BMW 5 Series - Very nice but pricey
Audi A4
Audi A6
Audi A5 - Coupe
Not Crazy about the Audis, the ones I can afford are small and not very fun.
BMW X1/X3 - Don't know what X1 is but probably costs more than the G
Infiniti FX - Small inside, and pricey
Infiniti JX - Kinda ugly, and pricey
Acura MDX - Love it but pricey
Acura RDX - Same

Drove the CTS, not that good. The 335 costs way more than the G.

The new Kia is nice, but get the turbo and some options and it's $33K - damn!

A car seat in the rear, and 3-4 other passengers??
Are they all children or midgets?
When I have 2 people sitting in the back, and all I hear is complaining.
Don't know how u do it.

Not crazy about the Genesis - never drove it but sat in it. It looks rich but feels cheap. And its pricey
