Swift Springs RWD Sedan

Hey Everyone,

I just got the Swift Springs put on yesterday. They are the prototypes they put on my G and are the result after about 45 days of testing. This is the final product and they will now be available for the RWD Sedan. Leonard at Swift said they will contact all retailers to inform them they are available.

The drop is: 1.2 in the front and .08 in the back. I was told the spring rates are: Front: 6.5kg/mm; Back: 6.3kg/mm.

My review so far: My 1 hour drive home on the freeway was smooth. I'd say just as comfortable as stock but much better handling. The springs seemed to absorb the freeway bumps nicely. On the streets, I hit a few corners pretty hard and got very little roll. The steering was so responsive it took me by surprise. I highly recommend them for those looking to lower their G but not compromise the ride comfort. Because of what I do for a living, these springs are perfect for me. I'm so flippin happy!!! By the way, I plan to get some 19" rims...hopefully soon.

Thanks go out to Zoster33 for all the great input.

Hope this helps.

It's great to see these. But don't the same springs for the Coupe application fit the Sedan? I don't think other spring manufacturers have different part numbers for coupe and sedan, do they?

Hey Black Betty, they previously put the coupe springs on in order to get the specs for the sedan. The coupe springs lowered the front 1.2 but the back 1.3. It was a harsher ride too. They sent the specs to Japan and they then made the RWD sedan springs, which are now on my car. Apparently the weight distribution is different from the coupe to the sedan. I really love look and the ride is awesome too.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Do you have any contact info for anyone at Swift that you can share regarding these? Manufacturer part #? ETA for them to be on the market? Retail price?

These spring rates seem kinda soft? 6.5kg/mm? thats 350lb, I'm pretty sure sport springs have higher rates.

Hey Dimsler, I was told by Swift they are set up for the sedan to provide performance and comfort. From my driving, it appears they accomplished what they were setting out to do. So far, I'm really liking them.

Looks like the perfect solution for those wanting a mild drop without the need for the camber arms & toe bolt kit. This is the way the G should have come from the factory. Nice info!

Black Betty, I just got an email. Here's the info you requested. Parts no. 4N908, eta is 1.5 months and MSRP is $419 (same as coupe and AWD G but may vary depending on retailer).

I agree blnewt. I still need to get an allignment but don't foresee that i'll be getting the camber kit.

Hey Bota, two weeks in are you still loving them as much as you did originally? Any additional thoughts or insights? How about alignment results?

These are now my #1 top choice for springs based on what I've read so far, but I want to make sure I make an informed decision.

Thanks,
Dustin

Got Eibach Springs (Pro-Kit) on their way AND a Camber kit for front and rear, camber kit was twice the price of Just the springs, BUT, I wanted it to be right.

Hey Dustin, yeah I'm still lovin them. I take clients around in my G and the ride is pretty smooth. These fit exactly what I was looking for by lowering without getting a harsh ride. I have to give them 2 thumbs up!!!

I still haven't got an allignment because I was going to get new wheels. But I'm not sure when that'll happen so I might just go ahead and get it done.

Awesome. Glad to hear it. Please post the alignment results if you can when you get them. If they come back with no kit needed, I'm pulling the trigger on these.
