I guess a M5 looks like a Dodge also since it has black window trim?

To me: Black represents - Sport. Chrome represents - luxury/class. I consider my G, a sport sedan. Rather have an aggressive look. And I feel the chrome window trim looks out of place on some colors and angles. But to each and their own of course.

Yes - that is exactly what I said, right? Geesh. We are talking about a G Sedan in this thread, not other cars. I simply stated my opinion as to how the G looks with the change, and drawing similarities with two specific cars. If you have something productive to say, fine. But don't start interpreting other people's words, please,

It actually looks real good. Now you have to tackle some of the other chrome...

+1

I'd also like to know how to do the trim. I have a coupe, which comes with black trim around the windows, but they are somewhat stained and I'd like to get them redone... Would you guys mind sharing a DIY?

Thanks!

Thanks for posting this. I have a GS and was considering the gloss vinyl to match the door pillars. I think it looks fine but I have a polished lip on my wheels and I think the chrome trim actually goes well with the lip.

Here's my DIY, but not sure how you'd apply it to a coupe. For sedan owners it's a pretty simple DIY and costs about $20-30.
