That's ****king ridiculous!
I pay 387$/m for 39 months for my G37x w/ Prem, Navi & maple interiors. 0$ down and all fees covered (besides the ones you can't avoid).

You should honestly check out a cheap lease on a nice car. Make sure it's a Sedan. Think of convenience for family. Maybe even consider an SUV? Those are beyond convenient. Check out the Lexus RX or maybe even the MB ML350? But I'm assuming if a lease on a G is that high, then those cars would be through the roof as well.
Regardless, maybe try posting in the Canada section of the forum? I'm assuming people there would understand your situation more than the majority of us.

Here is my take. Get the Max, have dem babies, and enjoy life. The money you are saving on the lease will cover the diapers and some formula for the baby.

And yes, I have driven both the Camry and Maxima extensively. I don't own them, but I travel for work regularly and rent both those cars extensively. The Maxima drives better overall. Power, handling, comfort, options, looks (although subjective) are all better IMO.
Good point.

end of day, A car is a transportation tool .. get a feasible car for functional use to set purpose of your budget is the way to go.

I'd be willing to bet that you can lease an G for less than a Maxima.

His offer was good, same car, new lease, $60 less per month. But we are trying to cut our cost and was looking at the Maxima as an option. Just thought i'd share what's happening if anybody cares. I'm looking at 2012 Maxima Sport Pkg, value wise the car is amazing. More features than the G, not as much power, and CVT, but the trade off versus the price is quite amazing. I know this forum will be G biased, but have to give the Maxima top marks where it deserves it. I'll let you know if we pull the trigger.
If your thing is front wheel drive, then go for it as the car is a great value. Personally, I hate FWD cars and the way they handle.

You need to negotiate the purchase price of the car (with discounts, incentives, and hard nose tactics), then tell them you intend to lease. Reduces your payment, just as it would reduce your payment if you bought and financed. Plus, threaten to use a different leasing company than Nissan/Infinity. Their hair will stand up.

MSRP for the 2012 Maxima w/Sport Pkg is $42,834 including Freight & Pearl Paint.
MSRP for the G37x w/Premium Pkg is $49,195 including Freight.

So talking just MSRP, without negotiating.....your talking a difference of $6,361......generally for every grand it's about $20/month on your payment. So the $6,361 difference in price would be approx $130/month. Plus now factor in your Financing rate....so when you look at the grand scheme of things, it can have a pretty big impact on your monthly payment.
