My last dealer service occurred 18 months ago when they changed the oil (mineral oil) and rotated the tires for $129. They included a car wash....complete with swirl marks for that price. It would have cost another $60 to use Nissan Ester oil.

There is nothing magical about servicing these cars. Since then I've used a local independent reputable shop...they do all of the required checks, use Mobil One, an upgraded oil filter, and rotate the tires for less than $95. Dealer wanted $90 to change the cabin air filter....purchased the filter from an auto supply store for $18 and changed it myself in about ten minutes after watching a you-tube video. I understand the dealer needs to up-charge to cover overhead however I don't like to be excessively gouged.

My last car was an Acura TL....the car was always dealer serviced because I was treated well, the service costs were reasonable, and they were careful with my car. I can say none of those things about the Infiniti dealership. When my lease is up next year, I will probably dump the G....because of the dealership.
