if you are impatient though, from personal experience when putting on the red silcone, don't just glob it on there, spread it around on the top of cat so to prevent any of the silicone from getting into the hole of the car, or from drying and leaving a space for an exhaust leak (dont laugh, fellow members have done it)

Getting them on this weekend will eliminate my install costs. Since I'm going back to my hometown anyways, I'm going to have my uncle help with the install. He's got over 30 years of auto experience.

Argh! Your freaking thread title! LOL
So OP, why Fast Intentions over all the other HFC manufacturers out there? Particularly Stillen, since you're going with a Stillen CB.
What made you go with FI?

I'm a fan of the sound and resonator/hfc combo, especially out here in my area. Cops are looking to hit up guys with loud exhausts. I also plan on selling my Stillen exhaust at some point and going with FI on that too.

Today I installed my cats. It was truly the PITA that everyone said it would be. Everything was going smoothly, until the top bolt on the driver's side stripped! Other than that, fitment was spot on. I also threw a SES light, which my uncle ran the codes on. It was something about the A/F ratio. I'm just gonna take it to the dealer to see what the definition of the codes are, and how to fix them. BTW, the sound and power is very nice. Without the cats, from 1k-3k RPMs was a bit sluggish and a little on the loud side. The power band is smoother, and the actual octave of the exhaust IS deeper without added volume. Videos will be up soon.

Thanks. I'm running two codes (P0031, P1148) which both refer to the front A/F sensor. I'll be swapping it out in the coming days, which should clear everything up.

take the O2 sensors that are in your headers and swap them. from left to right. disconnect and reconnect the battery and then drive around. check the codes if they throw again. if its a faulty O2 sensor the code will have moved banks. replace the o2 sensor on that bank.

shows bank 1 sensor 1. means bad electrical connection. that o2 sensor is a wideband sensor, so they arent cheap. i would run some trouble shooting first. before you do anything, disconnect the battery, and reconnect and drive around. if it comes back then move onto step 2.
