Exhaust questions

Hey guys new here and I have a few questions. I want to do some exhaust work on my 2010 sedan but dont have a lot of money as the wife and I are trying to pay off our bills early.

First is that I was told that a coupe Y-pipe would add some good sound to my sedan for pretty cheap. I love the way the coupes sound. Is this true?

Second is a local exhaust shop quoted me 300 bucks for a custom axle back exhaust with Borla mufflers. I know the Borla exhausts are well known in the American muscle car market but I have never seen them on an import. Has anyone heard one and how do they sound?

Another option I was told is to have a custom CBE done but just to keep the stock mufflers. Anybody ever done that?

Thanks.

Here's a pretty good thread about various exhaust combos, probably most are out of your budget but at least you'll get the idea (if you haven't seen this thread before)
V36 Sedan Aftermarket Exhaust Compilation! - G35Driver
I love my TopSpeed Pro1, the look & the sound was exactly what I was looking for. It's not a CBE, but uses OEM Y pipe, so more than a ABE but less than a CBE
It's just a bit more than your $300 Borla setup so it may be in your price point. Here's a thread w/ pics & sound clips is you're interested

the best option would be to eliminate your debt first. since you said "bills", i'm assuming it's credit card or similar where interest is high. pay it off, then pay yourself with some fun money. your exhaust mod can wait. no exhaust mod is critical on a 2010 with a functioning stock system.

Should add that the bills are still being paid off way early. What I am talking about is paying off all my debt, including my house, within the next 8-10 years. I could easily afford to buy a full exhaust and other mods but I am limiting my budget. I have a set hobby budget but it's usually spent on guns and ammo.
