Chime Sound

I just purchased a 2012 G37 sedan last week. Three times now, while driving, a chime has sounded. It is a two-note chime (not a beep), and there are no lights or messages showing anywhere on the instrument panel or anywhere else. The performance of the car is normal, the tires are set to the recommended pressure, and we are wearing the seat belts. Any ideas of what may be causing this? Thanks.

do you have a destination set in the nav? accidentally pushing the hands free button on the wheel? any maintenance reminders set in the options menu?

Do the G's come with blind spot warnings?

Probably the nav. Mine makes that noise at every point of the route. Look at the nav/route screen next time you hear it & see if the "cancel current" is available. Push that.

Chime Sound

Thanks to everyone for your responses. Yes, it was the navigation system recognizing when I got near to my house. When I bought the car the sales person, when he was showing me how the navigation system worked, set up my "home" destination. I didn't realize he had set the "chime" setting to activate when I got near my house. I have changed the setting to "none."

Thanks again for your responses.

He did not put in your actual address did he? Car gets stolen and they drive directly to your house to rip you off. Use cross street or nearby address.

Yes he did, but I'm going to change it to the drugstore about 4 blocks away. I can find my way home from there!
