I've had my Tanabe on for about 20k miles and it has broken in very well. Much louder at WOT than the first 5k miles. loud enough, but not obnoxious.

BUT, has anyone noticed the weird fitment where one side sits lower than the other??? Been thinking of a way to make them even, but it's kinda hard when I dont' have a lift to get a full view...Anyone have this issue?

mine was SLIGHTLY off on the passenger side. not even that noticeable unless I stare at it for 5 minutes. I just had the shop bend the hanger up a tad and it's perfect now.

My invidia does this too, driver tip hangs a tad lower than passenger. Its the Infiniti trademark.

I didn't even put my car on ramps, I would say 15 to 20 minutes and you'll be done (4 bolts and some hangers). Axle backs are easy. Oh I did put a nice blanket down to make sure I didn't scratch the stock unit nor the the new one.

I just put the tanabe medallion axle back on my 2010 today. It was a half hour job. So far I'm not impressed with the sound difference. I've had two fx35's that sounded more agressive stock than this system. The mufflers themselves are quality along with the welds. I didn't like the "bling" of the exhaust so I used a red scotch brite pad, scuffed them up, and painted them with black high temp paint. They look much better now imo.

it will get a tad louder after some break in. this is not intended to be super loud. only slightly louder than stock. FX exhaust notes is just like the coupe, so this will never be like that. the Tanabe is advertised as a touring muffler with max streetability, under 93db.

Had my Tanabe put on today, and although there is little to no sound change at idle or revving it standing still, it sounds rather good when at full throttle or very low RPM. It for sure gave the exhaust a bit more bass. It's very "mature" sounding exhaust, not too loud and obnoxious, but just good enough to make you smile when applying throttle. I'm hoping to add a Y-pipe to open up the exhaust a tad bit more.

kakimoto from Japan.
low profile under 2800rpm.... but u would love it for a Sedan if u love cruising around when u hit 3500rpm+

but for the price you might want to go for a full catback
