New Owner G37S 6 Speed

Hello guys,

Yesterday I picked up a 09 G37S Sedan 6 speed version. Very happy it's black on black. This is going to be my daily driver so I plan to leave it pretty basic. wheels, suspension, exhaust, intake, and flash.

I have some wheels from my old car that I hope to fit. From a quick search it looks like the rear is more aggressive than the sedan likes but will try. Any suggestions you guys have let me know. They are the following

TE37 19x9.5 +12 225/35/19
TE37 19x10.5 + 22 265/30/19

Is the tire in the rear going to be the problem? It looks like these cars have a pretty flat lip already in the back so I'm not sure there is much to roll there.

For the cat back/test pipes I will try something that is on the quiet side and deep tone.

For the flash will probably do the Osiris Tuner version (I work at a shop with a dyno).

For the intakes I will probably just do the Injen CAI unless there is another one that is recommended. I'm sure they are all pretty similar.

For the exhaust I know I have had bad experiences with Invidia in the past so will try to stay away. Will try one of the real true duals. That ARK Grip exhaust looks good so far.

Anyway here is a picture of the car and my other cars.

Welcome to the site, nice group of rides you got there, that S2k looks bad as$. I think that 12 offset will be a tough fit, the 22 rear should fit w/ the 265s and the factory-rolled fender. Seems like the tire/wheel section gets better answers as I'm far from a wheel expert
Enjoy your G, sounds like you've got some good mod plans in store
and tell us more about your other rides if you don't mind.

Welcome from a fellow 6MT owner. About the wheels they will fit depending on how much you lower the car, and if possible go with a 255 tire in the rear and not the 265

Thanks guys. I'm not planning on slamming it. Normally I put BC coilovers since they are local but I think I might want something better more comfortable. My last daily was slammed and it did not ride well. I want something that is low and rides well but not slammed. Maybe some KW or something not sure if they even make it. I will keep everybody update on fitment. I already have the wheels so I would love to just put those on and lower it.

The Supra has built motor (stock head just pistons/rods) with Precision Billet 6766 turbo. Makes 800whp on kill.

The S2000 has been a long term project for the shop I work at. Ran 9.5@147 on stock motor( like stock pistons, rods, head studs, headgasket, etc never opened S2000 bottome end). Here is a video of it.

What did you guys think about the programmer is the Osiris the most popular one?

There's a long-tube design that's better than most. It relocates the pop-chargers in front of the radiator.

No personal experience to talk about... just research and planning.

You are right that one does look like a better design. Thanks for pointing that out.

Is that what it is? I don't know enough about the difference in years but yes that is a picture of my car and it is a 100% 09.

I bought the car at a dealer so I don't know the real history I just know it was a 1 owner car according to car fax.

Yes I did. Do you know anything about the history of the car or you had seen it on auto trader too? I found it Sunday night and got it on Monday.

Yea the building in the picture looked familiar.. I do not know anything about the car, but they do have a high volume of Infiniti's there. I am going to look there when I am ready to purchase in the next few months. How willing were they to work on the price with you if you do not mind me asking?

They did not budge but they helped me a lot on Financing so it worked out for me. If you go talk to Jonah he seems pretty cool. Their primary focus is Infinity and BMW so that's the place to get one.

Welcome. I have the Ark and it looks and sounds good. A few people do have problems with the tips being uneven but mine are fine. KW v3 are next on my list and are available for sedans.

Yep, on the Sport model, just like they do today.

Now, OP, get rid of them they are ugly (IMO) or use them for winter wheels like I do.

BTW - I really like your cars.

Edit - Hmmm, Florida...you probably don't need winter wheels
