Check the carfax (obviously), don't fall for the cheap price thats too good to be true usually means it was a rental or loaner which should be in the carfax, I avoid buying these cars because I know what people do when they get a loaner.... they drive it like its stolen.
I was lucky enough to buy mine from a very responsible friend who saved every reciept for the car and had maintenece done regularly. Obviously this is rare but if you go to buy a car and the guy is talking about how we used to drag race it and sounds really irresponsible then RUN!!!
Also have a mechanic drive it if you don't know enough to do it yourself, you can learn a lot about it just in a half hour cruise.
18k is not a lot of miles if properly taken care of it should still have a faint new car smell haha. even some exhaust break-in smell. mine does at 25k.

Thanks. No worries. It was an off lease car, low miles. Yes it had an accident, I couldn't see it and it drives well. I drove it for 250 miles/3 hours yesterday, was very sweet. The only thing I noticed (and noticed today only, not yesterday), is that there is a whuu-whuu-whuu noise at around 20-30 miles an hour. It goes away at lower and higher speeds and doesn't seem tire or brake related. It could be a slight dent in an axle or something, but I'm honestly not too concerned. I'm going to take it to my local Infiniti dealer for an oil change and full check out. The 3 hour drive consisted of lots of highway and some city and I hit like 100mph+ on the highway for short stints and it felt like a smooth rocket. I was suckered into an extended warranty but my wife also insisted on it so hopefully all the extended + remaining warranty has me covered somewhat.
I'll post more pictures if anyone cares to see.

The rear seat doesn't fold. I wish it did. When I was looking last year, a dealer "explained" that the G didn't have a folding rear seatback because it was a luxury car.
