Ya want a *****-out fast car with a lot of torque, get a Mustang GT and save a little coin over the G37.

If you're willing to spend a little more, the Boss 302 will fit the bill. It's priced slightly higher than the G37S.

MY 09 is does it best accelerating from a stand still with the rear tires fighting for traction. Like any other cars, the G performance can vary with fuel and the engine's state of learning. Also if you try to accelerate too hard while turning, the VDC will step in and halt the fun.

Never felt the G37 lack of torque. It is way too fast on my local streets as I am touching the break way more than the go pedal. My 5th gen Maxima is easy to drive "fast" as it has less power and is much slower. It is always more FUN to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slowly. May be next time try to put some good premium in it before complaining.

Well, if you want more torque, i don't know how much it will improve but the drive shaft has a rubber yoke connection or what ever it is it makes a shifting smoother.

Gotta agree with 00Max00. It was a bit more fun driving my Pontiac Grand Prix GT than my G. I could gun it and actually finish a gear, where as with the G, I end up going 20 over the speed limit just to brake hard. Don't get me wrong, I love the power and wouldn't go back, but there was definitely something more entertaining about the GP.

Plus, as others already said, the FWD feels faster when you get on it. A FWD grabs the steering wheel and throws you back even though the raw speed isn't there.

When my CL type S took off, that gear change into second gear would try to pull the wheel out of my hand. The car was tons slower than my G though. Felt quicker and may have been off the line but the G is a ton faster. My wife daily drives our Z and when she gets in the G she swears its faster than the Z. Its all about how a car feels. It doesn't make it faster, just feels that way.

That right there. I'd rather have actual speed you can control vs perceived speed as a result of lack of control.

Bought my wife a 335 Sedan for our anniversary. The instant torque is crazy but having all the different modes makes the car much more driveable. I am patiently waiting for the next M3 to come out so that I can upgrade the G.

I like how the G drives, but once that other power is felt it is hard to resist. It also hurts that her car is faster than mine.
