Wipers on when car starts?
Hey guys,
Last night it was torrential downpour when I got home and I had the wipers going full blast. I was in a rush to get home and get inside, and left the wipers in the on position.
This morning when I started my car they came on right away going really fast a few times until I realized and turned them off.
A few concerns I had...
1. Does this wear out the blades a lot since the windshield was completely dry this morning?
2. Does this scratch the windshield?
3. Does this hurt the battery? I did notice the car start a little weaker, but it could have been in my head. Would this hinder the car starting as strong, or cause any negative effects on the battery?
Thanks!

1. It would if you left them running, but for a split second...I doubt it.
2. If there was sand on your windshield, then maybe...but I doubt it.
3. When the ignition is off, the wiper motor is off. It wouldn't drain your battery. How old is your battery? Maybe just coincidence and it's time for a new one.

They only dumb question is the one not asked.

There's no need for this. why would you call someone asking for help dumb? You should try to be more considerate of others. If you think it was a dumb question, fine...don't post anything about it. But to call it out in the thread, well...that's just damn childish.
